The first time I saw Sunday Blu I was immediately taken in, not only by the thread of her poetry, which she weaved & swirled in the air all around us, a tapestry or cauldron of Healing Spells & Songs of the Earth, but also Instant Recognition (like Instant Karma, it strikes like lightning to the core), that I was in the presence of a Sister from an Ancient Tribe. It is not lost on Sunday Blu that casting spells is part of a poet’s vocation.

“Women and girls are funneled into psychiatric prisons,
As they’ve always been,
Because they are asking too many questions.”

  from “Runaway Truck”

“…fight for something good,
Like food on the table,
Like neighbors,
Like the disabled.”

from “To Not Die is the Lie”

It may be a time of monsters with blue meanies abounding (All You Need Is Love), but it is also a time of Goddesses. Always has been, always will be.

It is high time to turn over the care of the Planet & also what is left of civil society, all over the world, to women & children. We have seen what happens when men run things. We are living through it now.

Sunday Blu is a Goddess (Arianna too!)

Abolish the patriarchy! & Read Sunday Blu
